To all our friends in the Lord and to you who have made sacrifices in giving for the increase of His Kingdom!  I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and may His name be praised!

I wanted to share with you all about our amazing trip to the Dominican.  God blessed, moved, protected, and saved many during our time there.  In other words… we were very fruitful by His grace.

We saw miracle after miracle develop during our preparation time, travel time, and ministry times on the ground.

During our preparation time.  We had our tickets, equipment, our team was ready for ministry, but our money  for ministry was just not enough.  We were down to one week or so before departure and the clock was ticking… then just in time God moved upon two different people to send sizable gifts for our mission trip( a miracle!).  The money was enough for us to go and accomplish much for His kingdom!!!  Praise be to God!  God is always on time and never late… although He will test our patience. J

Our Travel time.  As we arrived in Santo Domingo, we were held up on the runway for over an hour causing us to be late to our first ministry effort in a local church there.  But, no problem, we sang and preached His Word and many came forward seeking a fresh touch from our living God!  The next day, we were ready early in the AM to travel to the rural town of Tamaya some 4 hours away.  However, our “mission van” was broken down and someone was “working” on it.  We waited on the street from 9am till 2pm for the repairs to be completed.  Well, we wanted to make the most of it, so we began to do some street evangelism.  We had with us my pocket book 180 Degrees – Spanish version- and began to stop people on the street trying to communicate with them and handing out some 30 copies (we called them seeds for the Lord!).  One man came very close to accepting Christ … but just would not at that time.  However, I am convinced that God will use the 180 Degrees pocket book to bring him into the kingdom!  Ben got his guitar out and Alex began to sing songs unto the Lord, drawing much attention to our location.  We even walked down the street to an outside diner and Ben and Alex sang while I witnessed to those in the diner area!   We are sure that many seeds were planted that day in the name of Jesus!  Well, finally our “mission van” arrived.  A new battery, new cables, brakes worked on (but not quite fixed) and tires with air (for now).  At this point, I almost said NO WAY!  This van was in no way (to my eyes) ready to travel 4 hours over the mountains to Tamaya with our team…but we had no options at this point.  So we all packed our bags (14 plus guitar) and 5 people into the van praying fervently for Gods protection.  The brakes were so bad that we could not travel over 40 miles per hour with Alberto pumping them all the way…your prayers were answered as God dispatched His angels to carry us to Tamaya ( a miracle!).  It took us over 5 ½ hours to make the journey.  This again made us late for our next ministry effort in the mountain area outside of Tamaya.  So, as soon as we arrived we dumped our bags and headed to our first crusade.  The people had been waiting for us for 2 hours outside on a basketball court.  We arrived and quickly set up our music equipment and began.   We sang and preached the Word and had 15+ decisions for Christ in this very remote community.  Sharing the Word, God changing lives!  Praise be to Him!   We changed vehicles in Tamaya, and our transportation arrangements were much better. PTL!

During our ministry time.  We had now launched full steam ahead with our ministry efforts.  We arrived back late at night and fell into bed exhausted.  Wed AM we arose and headed to the Santa Maria community, a very poor community that is off the chart with needs!  We got to know some of the many children there, some of the people, and held a children’s service in the church.  Alex and Ben taught them songs and I taught them a bible story.  We blessed them much and they blessed us with their smiles and the joy of our coming!  We left them knowing that we must come back to give them T-shirts and toys!

We then prepared for our night crusade in Aroyal Saco. This crusade would be the first time we had the time to implement our full vision of ministry with the people.  Aroyal Saco was a long way from Tamaya and we had to travel over very difficult roads (if you can call them roads) up the mountain to get to this community.   Here we set up our inflatable big screen, our projector, and computer all running off of a generator.  This community is full of people that have NEVER had a white missionary come to their village.  We were the first missionaries to ever come and preach the gospel to them!!  We had songs that were projected on the big screen in both Spanish and English.  We projected my major sermon notes in Spanish for clarity.  We saw about 25 salvations, handed out 180 Degrees Spanish version pocket books and prayed for the sick with several healings in the name of our Lord Jesus ( a miracle!)!   At the end of the ministry time we projected a movie in Spanish for the kids.  These kids had NEVER seen a movie before in their lives!  You should have seen the faces of the children… it was priceless!  They loved it!!!

The Tamaya crusade was the main crusade of our trip.  It was held three nights in a row and people from as far as Santo Domingo West and Haiti east came to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ!  We had some 500 people the first night and each night we saw more and more…building to some 700 people!  This town had never seen anything like this in its history…people were talking about it all over the city.  Bars and taverns were empty, beer stores had no sales, and storeowners were mad that the people were coming to the crusade and they were losing the liquor sales!  So much so, that one storeowner hurled a large stone at our vehicle!  My friend, the devil did not like what was happening!  Over all, we were able to see our vision come forth with power and grace.  The three-night Tamaya crusade saw some 120-150 people saved, people healed, and one girl demon possessed was set free!  Ben and Alex led the music and Alex sang with an anointing like never before!  Ryan managed the technology, big screen, and slides in very challenging conditions.  I preached with every ounce of energy that was possible all for the glory of our God and Father!  God was pleased and people were changed (a miracle!).  In fact, Tamaya will never be the same.

We also held 2 pastors conferences that were amazing in power and encouragement for the leaders and pastors.  God poured out His spirit upon each one present and challenged them to move forward for the sake of the kingdom.  During the first pastor’s conference, I preached a sermon titled, “Storms That Shape”, and God moved in power!  Right after this preaching I used our ministry cell phone to call my wife checking on her.  She shared with me that she was at our church where the fire sprinkler systems had burst and flooded 2/3 of our church.  The damage we think is close to  $100k!  Wow, “Storms That Shape” was not only for the pastors and leaders in the Dominican, but for me!

Of course we had that great privilege to preach in churches.  This was a special time that God encouraged and moved in power.  I had the opportunity not only to preach His word but also to bless and challenge each church to carry the name of our Lord forward with great intensity.  They needed our encouragement in a great way!

Giving to the poor and needy.  We handed out over 300+ toys to the very poor and needy children.  The smiles were priceless!  Also, thanks to a very generous heart, we were able to give away some 200+ T-shirts to children and adults.  We had taken some 30 T-shirts of one color (purple that said, Angels on Call) and we were able to give them to a “youth group” of one church.  They wore them proudly to the crusades each night!  Many other T-shirts were given to those who have almost nothing.  All of the people LOVED them!  To God be the glory!   With our last bit of ministry money left, we purchased sacks of groceries for the very poor families of the Aroyal Saco community.  It was a great joy for us to give these few food items like rice, beans, sardines, fruit, and a few other items out to those who have nothing.   They were extremely grateful!   Loving one another in giving!  This is the heart of Jesus!

Overall, this was an amazing team effort to accomplish much for the kingdom.  The small communities will never be the same, the town of Tamaya will never be the same, the Dominican will never be the same, … Doyl, Ben, Alex, and Ryan will never be the same…for God left His footprint upon the hearts of the people in the Dominican this Jan. 2010!  Thanks be to God for your great sacrifice of giving and your many prayers to make this wonderful, spiritual event take place.  May God richly bless you and yours!

Remember… Jesus is coming soon!  We must “Take Christ to the Nations”!

Dominican Republic Update

Thursday, January 7th, 2010
Greetings all,
We all arrived safe and sound.  No real problems, except the hour or so delay at the Santo Domingo airport that really caused us to be late the rest of the evening for our ministry.  However, God surely overcame that slight issue.
We grabed something to eat, checked into our rooms, and were off to a small church here in Santo Domingo to minister!… they had been waiting for us for over an hour!
We were able to share in song and in the power of His Word.  Many came forward for prayer!  God is already working and this will be a wonderful trip in the name of Jesus!
Please keep praying for us and God to go before us.
Today (Jan. 5) we travel, 4+ hours, to the remote area of Tamala to prepare for our Crusade and then tonight we will be hosting this Crusade….To God be the Glory.
We love all of you and serve for His glory!

Dominican Republic Mission Trip Jan 2010

Monday, August 24th, 2009

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

WITM has scheduled our next Dominican Republic mission trip for January 4, 2010.  We will be traveling as a team of five to accomplish the following:

1.  Crusade:  A week long, evangelistic crusade.  During this event we are expecting some 1,000+ people per night and hundreds of souls coming to the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation and a new life in Jesus Christ!

2.  Pastors Conferences:  During each day, we will sponsor Pastor’s and Leaders conferences to help deepen understanding, encourage hearts, and build faith as the leaders take Christ to this nation after our departure.

3.  Work project:  We have a scheduled work project that is targeted to help a small church in the area by building a new foundation and laying the flooring.

4.  Help the poor and Needy:  We are collecting funds to filling grocery sacks full of rice, beans, and other non-perishable items to give to some of the poorest families.  Each sack can be filled for $25 and feed the family for days!  We also are collecting funds to clothe the children and give them one Christmas gift.  We desire to give a tee shirt, shorts, and flip-flops to 200 very poor children and one $10 Christmas gift each.

Total funding required is only $9,700.  As of Aug 2009, we have received $1,400 toward this trip.  We are believing God for funding for our 5 person team including (Evangelist, Worship Leader, Music Support, Logistics support, and Native Dominican Republic Lead) and our mission efforts to win people to Christ!

Please pray for us and generously give your tax deductible gift to support this life changing mission trip… God will richly bless you!  You may donate in any amount by using our donation button found on our “partner with us page” of our website.  Please give.
